Classic Ford Transit Makes Forza Horizon 4 Debut


From the head-turning Ranger Raptor to the ultra-high-performance Ford GT, Forza Horizon 4 allows gaming fans to experience the most exciting and exclusive Ford models in high-profile locations across the world.

Something that has certainly shocked us is that the newest model to take centre stage on this popular gaming platform is the legendary, original Transit Mk 1 van that was initially introduced in 1965.

Equipped with a staggering 75 horsepower engine, this revolutionary commercial vehicle is now available to download and race in the game It goes against everything we know about racing games but has proved extremely popular amongst fans since its initial launch.

Now for the clever bit and an insight in to how this virtual van is modelled on the immaculate real-life version from Ford of Britain’s heritage collection. Photographers from Forza’s studio have taken nearly 1,000 photos to capture every angle, both inside and out.


This enormous database of images allows the team to produce perfect digital replicas, right down to the finer detail on the Transit’s door hinge bolts. Impressed yet?

That’s not all, the Forza team have a dedicated physics department that uses algorithms to recreate the engine power, suspension and the overall performance to give a real-life driving simulation.

It has been announced that the new Vauxhall Vivaro is now available to order with customers able to take delivery later on this year, most likely during the summer. Sources claim that you can get your hands on one of these medium sized vans from £21,240 (CVOTR) but ill be officially announced at the CV Show in Birmingham in April 2019. Ford extend payment holidays until September

Ford of Britain have decided to extend its offering of six-month payment holidays to new van buyers in a bid to keep customers buying new commercial vehicles during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is called the Ford ‘Peace of Mind’ programme and was initially launched to run through April and May of this year but they soon decided to extend it until the end of June. Premier Commercial Vehicles can now confirm that the programme is set to run until the end of September 2020. The scheme allows customers to defer the first three payments (after they part with the initial deposit) of their finance agreement. Then the following three payments will be covered by Ford in one single payment, capped at £750 - £1,600, depending on which vehicle the customer has. Something also worth noting is that buyers of Ford vans (including the Ford Transit Custom and large Transit that are available with 0% APR) can opt out of paying anything for the first six months of the finance agreement.
