Fiat Fullback Axed From Professional Line-up

The Fiat Fullback pickup has been axed from the Fiat Commercial Vehicle line-up due to the new emissions laws as well as a poor sales record.

Fiat announced the news at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham this year by Richard Chamberlain, head of Fiat Professional.

Based on the popular and award-winning Mitsubishi L200, the Fullback was due to be updated later this year but Fiat decided not to continue with its own version. It was originally a badge engineering exercise and the Fullback was the same truck as the L200 with a slightly altered specification.

Although this announcement has sent ripples through the world of Fiat, the Professional range is marching strongly with the remaining line-up including the Ducato, Talento, Doblo and Fiorino. This all translates that even with the new emissions laws coming in to force in September 2019, they will all meet the guidelines.
