Changes to the Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C)
Changes to the Vehicle
Registration Certificate (V5C)
From 15th April 2019 the Driver & Vehicle Licensing
Agency (DVLA) changed the long-standing logbook that we have all learnt to
instantly identify. The redesign was initially discussed and agreed following a
review in 2016.
The newly-designed document that outlines the ownership of a
vehicle has been simplified to improve the customer’s experience.
Don’t worry, even though a new version has been issued, any
previous versions, no matter how old, will still be valid. As a result of the
changes, the GOV.UK website has been amended to co-inside with the alterations
and references.

We have already seen a number of these logbooks pass through
our hands which we have scanned over and agree, it is a much simpler document
and easier to use. The instructions are laid out in an easy-to-read format allowing
for fewer mistakes. Overall, a job well done!
