New 2019 Ford Ranger Revealed

2019 is already turning in to an exciting year with the launch of the updated Ford Ranger pickup. It is currently Britain’s best-selling truck and will boast a new 2.0-litre diesel and 10-speed automatic gearbox. There is also news of an upgraded safety kit.

You may have seen it in the new Ford Transit Custom, but the new 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine will be sat comfortably inside the front of the new 2019 Ford Ranger. The new engine replaces the 2.2 and 3.20-litre engines but has a higher power output as well as being more efficient.
All of the updates to the engine and drive modes all seem to focused on improving the fuel efficiency making it nearly ten percent more efficient than the previous model. It now manages 30.7mpg for the twin-turbo diesel and 35.3mpg for the 128ps engine.

A lot of safety features from the Ford passenger car range have been adapted in to this new workhorse, and will benefit from collision and pedestrian detection as standard. There is also a very intelligent speed limiter. You can also look forward to front and rear parking sensors, lane assist, adaptive cruise control and a trailer stability control.
Externally, you’ll notice a revised grille design and new front bumper. There are also new paint options and LED lights that come with the top-spec models. The exclusive Saber Orange on the Ranger Wildtrak continues and still has a beautiful dark grey finish to the exterior trim and front grille. This enables it to stand out proudly from the rest of the vehicle line-up.
