Geneva witnesses the new ABT VW e-Transporter

Specialist tuning company ABT has recently announced the production of electric vans and to celebrate has created a special edition e-Transporter.
The German giants revealed a very special and quite unique new e-Transporter at the Geneva Motor Show this year and will be appearing in Volkswagen showrooms later on this year. You’ll notice some additional styling options that have been added specifically for Geneva.

The revised grille and rear wing mark the continued development in to the new design and specification of this van. The Aerokit bodykit also adds front and rear bumpers giving it a lower-down look. Looking for the exhaust tip? It doesn’t have one but this is pretty well hidden by the louvred tailpipe covers that neatly sit at the rear of the vehicle. The Continental tyres are neatly wrapped around the 20-inch ABT Sport GR wheels which finishes off the exterior on this sport van.
Underneath the exterior changes, very little has altered with the suspension being the only thing that has been modified on the new e-Transporter. As for the engine there’s a 109bhp electric motor with a respectful 200Nm of torque, this is all powered by a 37.3kWh battery that boasts a range of around 130 miles.

Sometimes that’s not enough, so the e-Transporter will also be built with a 74.6kWh battery that covers around 250 miles.
One notable benefit of the VW e-Transporter is that it has the same 6.7 cubic metres as the standard T6 Transporter. Very soon Premier Commercial Vehicles will be offering the best leasing deals on the new VW e-Transporter.
